This is an arts & crafts style bookrack, which was in American Woodworker, October 2006.
Ignore the cat, he refused to move for the pictures! The bookrack is
made out of mahogany, in a Greene & Greene type style, with
cloud lifts on the end caps and the bookends. On this project, the pegs
were made out of walnut scraps, and dyed dark, but
could be done out of nearly any dark wood.
This is a fairly quick project that can be done in a single weekend, once you have all the materials.
To me, this book rack has some Greene & Greene type design elements to it,
with the cloud lift type feet on the ends, although
I've never seen any kind of reference to them making items like this.
