These projects are very small, and somewhat tricky at times. Basically
though, you cut a long blank, carve the
figure on the end of it, and then cut it free. This approach will minimize
your use of bandaids. The santas look
large, but are actually very light weight, because I made them out of pine.
A harder wood, like basswood would
probably let you put more detail on them if you wanted, but this amount of
detail seems okay to me. The earring
hooks can be found in almost any craft store. Once you get the hang of
these, they go very quickly.
